The Royal Village International Foundation (RVIF) Full Academic Scholarship is the Foundation's premier educational support program designed to provide exceptional students from underserved and economically disadvantaged communities with the opportunity to pursue higher education without the financial burden that often prevents talented young people from achieving their dreams.
The scholarship is built on the belief that education is one of the most powerful tools for breaking the cycle of poverty, creating opportunities, and developing future leaders who can positively transform their communities and nations. Through this program, RVIF invests in students who have demonstrated academic excellence, strong leadership potential, integrity, and a commitment to making meaningful contributions to society.
Unlike traditional tuition-only scholarships, the Full Academic Scholarship provides comprehensive support that enables recipients to focus on their studies and personal development. Depending on available funding and the individual award package, the scholarship may cover tuition and academic fees, accommodation, meals or living expenses, learning materials, books, research support, transportation assistance, health insurance where applicable, and other approved educational costs directly related to the student's academic success.
Beyond financial assistance, scholars become members of the Royal Village Scholars Network, where they receive continuous mentorship, leadership development, career guidance, academic advising, professional networking opportunities, and access to personal development workshops. These programs are designed to help students develop the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills needed to excel both academically and professionally.
The Foundation believes that true scholarship extends beyond academic achievement. Therefore, recipients are expected to demonstrate compassion, integrity, accountability, respect, and a commitment to serving others. Scholars are encouraged to participate in community outreach activities, volunteer initiatives, leadership programs, and Foundation events that promote education, social development, and humanitarian service.
RVIF also recognizes that every scholar represents an investment in the future. As beneficiaries progress through their academic journey, they are encouraged to become role models who inspire younger students, advocate for quality education, and contribute to sustainable development within their communities.
The scholarship is open to students pursuing undergraduate studies and, where funding permits, postgraduate or professional programs at accredited colleges and universities in Liberia and internationally. Fields of study may include education, medicine, engineering, agriculture, information technology, psychology, business, law, public health, environmental sciences, social sciences, and other disciplines that contribute to national and global development.

Eligibility Criteria

The Royal Village International Foundation Full Academic Scholarship is awarded through a competitive selection process that identifies students with exceptional academic ability, leadership potential, financial need, and a strong commitment to community service. Applicants must satisfy the following eligibility requirements before being considered for scholarship support.

Academic Excellence
Applicants must have demonstrated outstanding academic performance throughout their secondary education.
Candidates should possess a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, or its equivalent under other national or international grading systems. Applicants educated under different curricula will be evaluated using the grading standards applicable within their educational system.
Academic excellence is assessed through official transcripts, national examination results, academic certificates, and recommendations from school administrators or teachers. While grades are important, the Foundation also considers consistency, improvement over time, academic discipline, and the ability to overcome educational challenges.
Current RVIF scholars must maintain a minimum grade of B in all courses and an A in their major or core subjects to remain eligible for continued scholarship support.

High School Completion
Applicants must have successfully completed secondary or high school education and possess an official diploma, certificate, or equivalent qualification recognized by the relevant educational authority.
Applicants who have received admission to an accredited college, university, or higher education institution, or who are awaiting final admission decisions, are encouraged to apply.

Admission to an Accredited Institution
Applicants must be admitted to, or demonstrate the ability to secure admission into, an accredited college, university, or recognized higher education institution.
The institution must be officially recognized by the appropriate educational authorities within its country.
Programs leading to undergraduate degrees are the primary focus of this scholarship, although postgraduate studies may be considered under special funding opportunities.

Demonstrated Financial Need
The Full Academic Scholarship is intended to support students whose educational aspirations are limited by financial hardship.
Applicants should demonstrate that they lack sufficient financial resources to pursue higher education without scholarship assistance.
Financial need may be assessed through documentation such as:

Commitment During the Scholarship Period
Successful scholars are expected to actively participate in the Royal Village International Foundation's scholarship community throughout the duration of their studies.
Recipients agree to:

Failure to meet scholarship obligations may result in probation, suspension, or termination of scholarship benefits following a formal review.
